Thank you for visiting the consultation website for our proposals to build a new student accommodation development at Westfield Road in Edinburgh.
The proposals are being brought forward by Tiger Developments, a leading commercial property developer and our partner and associate company.
A Proposal of Application Notice (PAN) was submitted to the City of Edinburgh Council on 20th December 2021, commencing a minimum 12-week public consultation period.
In light of the ongoing situation regarding COVID-19, and by closely following guidance from the Scottish Government regarding pre-application consultation, this website has been developed to ensure community engagement and consultation can take place.
A live interactive chat session took place on this website on Wednesday 13th April 2022. A second session will take place on Tuesday 3rd May 2022 from 3pm to 5pm. Members of our development team will be available to answer questions and provide further information about these proposals.

Where is it?
The Site
Situated to the west of the city centre, the site is located on Westfield Road, close to the Western Approach Road. It is bordered to the east and north by the railway line connecting the historic Suburban and Southside Junction railway to the main Glasgow–Edinburgh line.
Murrayfield Stadium is situated to the northeast of the site, with Sainsbury’s Murrayfield supermarket opposite. The local area is primarily industrial, with new residential developments either under completion or recently completed – signifying a new future for a part of the city so close and well-connected to the city centre.
